Appreciating Nature

We have been learning the Maori names for some of our insects. We have also been talking about how insects help us and we have made bees and flowers for a display in our classroom.

Here is our completed display.

What's in the box?

Today we used our sense of Touch to work out what object was in the box.
Pou said his item was soft, had 4 legs, 2 ears and a long nose.
He guessed it was a toy elephant.

Jayden said his object rattled and moved around. There were lots of them and they were in a
material bag. His item was a bag of marbles.

Flynn had to see if he could feel something soft and feathery. At first he picked up a piece of chain but he knew that wasn't soft. He finally found the red feather duster.

Andrew had to find something that made a noise. He worked out that it wasn't the sponge it was the shaker.

Adam had to find something that made a noise. He found the bells.
