We read the book "The little Kiwi's Matariki" and made some suncatchers of some of the characters in the book.
The star Ururangi encourages us to learn about the wind family. We made some kites for our display.
We are learning about Matariki, and here, we are working on the title for our display.
Colouring in our Flags and playing Flag Bingo.
We learnt about each others family cultures and they included Dutch, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Maori and Moroccan. We discovered that Almond biscuits were made and enjoyed by all of these cultures. We certainly enjoyed making them and eating them!!
We enjoyed working together to complete a puzzle of a world map and to show each other where in the world our families originally came from.
